Our second album is made up of nine songs, some of which were born nearly two years ago, and which little by little took shape, evolved and even mutated, until we recorded them.
This album represents another step in the band's sound, which evolves day by day, but which maintains its essence in the roots of post-hardcore and screamo.
It presents new elements such as 'spoken' in certain passages, combined with the angry cries of the voices, or the delicacy and subtle calm of the melodies of the guitars that break distorted in the middle of an emotional storm, in a explosion always accompanied by a powerful and solid rhythmic base. We also find the collaboration of the professional cellist Laia Ferrer in the song "Your Name".
All together form a mixture of sounds and styles, ranging from hardcore, rock and noise, to indie and metal.
This second album was recorded during the fall of 2023 at DST Recording Studio in Llubí (Mallorca) by Tomeu Perelló, who produced, recorded and mixed the album. Without a doubt, Tomeu could be considered the fifth member of the band for the work contributed to the two albums.
The mastering was done by Tom Nunes at Atomic Disc (Oregon. USA).

The Distance is a post-hardcore and screamo band formed in Mallorca in 2019. The four members of the band are Yamil on guitar and vocals, Óscar on bass, Julián on guitar and Alberto on drums. All of them have been playing over the years in other rock and punk bands.
This project began as a response to the new concerns of its members, who wanted to explore other ways of showing their emotions through the inspiration caused by the music composed in the 2010s by the last batch of hardcore bands . In this way, they collected all their influences and presented their powerful and emotional music in concerts and festivals.
In the catalog of The Distance, we find from deep and long post-rock with atmospheric riffs, to faster songs inspired by hardcore. The music, combined with honest lyrics sung in a screamo style and sometimes spoken, gives the group a unique sense of emotion and strength, a style that has been called extreme and surprising in its mix.
In their years of life they have performed many concerts, sharing the stage with local and state bands.
In 2022 they published their first album "Prologue". On January 30, 2024, his second album, "The Wound", is published in digital and CD format via Sliptrick Records. An album that they will present live on a tour that includes cities such as Madrid, Valencia, Budapest or Bratislava.
Est. 2010, Sell The Heart Records has a goal of curating a dynamic catalog of releases from a variety of artists. We believe in keeping it interesting, keeping it fun, and keeping it weird.

Kansas City trio Flooding draw out the more mystical qualities of slowcore and noise rock for a heavy sound that's less stony than doom. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 26, 2023
Fans of Polvo, take note! The excellent Kansas City band Abandoncy has the same fondness for corkscrewing riffs & melodies. It’s great! Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 28, 2022
I don't think there's any band that sounds quite like Skull Servant does. The songs hit hard and heavy while maintaining a strong melody, and the two singers provide a contrast that makes every song feel unique.
The crunchy guitar and bass tone puts a lot of power behind the riffs, and the songwriting and arrangement makes this feel like a concept album.
If there's one thing Skull Servant does best, it's creating music that is dynamic and ever changing. revengebymagick
